Fantastic instrumental ambient with old-world flavor and an organic palette, this lowly cdr release holds material that is worthy of repressing on 180 gram vinyl and calling an essential in any collection. I admire the craftsmanship but am also rendered senseless by the magic spell of this work, being pulled out of reverie into some induced daydream every two minutes or so. So much distinctive character within each piece, and each piece flows into the next, but is not strict drift. There is so much layered construction here but it feels effortless, natural - working in drones, thunderous drift, tabla, flute, distant voices and an almost rhythmic wailing here and there.
